"Your choice...the right choice!"
Donations
We believe that in order to keep our customers, family, friends, and neighbors healthy we must have robust services, programs, and facilities.
Vision 2000
As part of the Vision 2000 plan, we now have:
- All new Emergency Room facilities
- A new and relocated laboratory
- A new and efficient Registration Center
- A beautiful new Birth Center
- And a new Main Entrance
However, the work is not complete. Other major renovations are underway in radiology and elsewhere. Vision 2000 donations have made this possible - the gifts of many individuals, GMHS patients, businesses, associates, physicians, Board members, Administration, vendors, The Fremont Area Foundation, and The Gerber Foundation.
Phase II
Phase II allowed us to expand our surgery suites to three (3), add a dedicated C-section/delivery room, update our Intensive Care Unit, provide more space, and purchase high-tech diagnostic equipment for prevention and detection.
Your financial support of Gerber Memorial Health Services assists us in continuing to offer the health services and programs this rural community needs and deserves, especially in light of the thousands of vacationers who use our services each year.
Gerber Memorial Health Services has been an integral part of the Newaygo County community for over 80 years. It has been a major resource for those in need of emergency medical treatments, scheduled surgeries, diagnostic procedures, new births, and a comfort for those in the end stages of life, as well as their families.
Recognized by HCIA-Sachs Institute, which is the research and education division of HCIA-Sachs and is dedicated to the improvement of the health care industry through improved information and The Health Network as a recipient of the 100 Top Hospitals: Regional Benchmarks for Success award in 1994, 1999, 2004 and 2005, Gerber Memorial Hospital received high marks for delivering clinical excellence as well as the most cost-efficient and highest quality medical care.
Key findings of the HCIA and The Health Network's 7th annual 100 Top Hospitals: National Benchmarks for Success study. If all hospitals were to operate like the 100 top hospitals, savings to the industry would exceed billions annually. These benchmark hospitals treat sicker patients while achieving better patient outcomes as measured by mortality and complications. Hospitals recognized as the nation's 100 top hospitals are more efficient, work with fewer staff, care for more patients, and are twice as profitable as other hospitals.
