INFECTION CONTROL

The Infection Control Program is organization-wide and includes inpatients, outpatients, associates, and in some cases, the community of all ages for the purpose of prevention and control of infection occurrences and the spread of infections.

All departments and services are part of the program.

Key components are surveillance, prevention, education and monitoring. Infection Control activities are integrated with the hospital's Quality Management programs.

Patient education materials available from Infection Control include:

  • Staph/MRSA
  • Hand Hygiene
  • Isolation Precautions
  • Clostridium Difficile (C.diff)
