Quality Management
The mission statement "to provide competent, compassionate, community healthcare" is the foundation for the development, implementation, and the continual evaluation of GMHS' Quality Management (QM) Program.

The awards come from the Michigan Peer Review Organization (MPRO) and Governor Granholm in recognition of outstanding achievements in quality improvement.

The Quality Management Department coordinates GMHS' vision and values with the QM Committee structure that monitors the quality of patient care given at GMHS.
Utilization review works closely with the physicians and insurance companies to ensure that patient care meets the insurance companies' guidelines for an acute care setting. Any discussion between insurance companies and physicians is coordinated through this department.
